Bluegrass On The Bogs features a Kids Academy where children who participate in all three workshops over the weekend will be featured playing as a group on the main stage Sunday morning. There is no registration fee or charge for this program. Children must attend all three workshops.
How It Works
Kids attend three workshops spread across the festival weekend. Each session builds skills and repertoire, culminating in a group performance Sunday morning on the main stage. Past performances have included songs like "Long Journey Home" and "Angelina Baker."
- No registration fee — the program is free for participating children.
- All three workshops required — consistent attendance ensures the group is ready for the stage.
- Bring your own instrument — children should have basic playing skills and their own acoustic instrument.
- Sunday main-stage performance — the Kids Academy group performs together in front of the festival audience.

The Kids Academy is proudly sponsored by the Rhode Island Bluegrass Alliance, an organization dedicated to promoting and preserving bluegrass music throughout the region.
